Ideas for Documenting Your Students’ Progress #1

joe readingUsing the ipad can be a great way to evaluate students’ abilities in relation to the Common Core Standards. If you pull students to read to you individually with a book choice of their own, you can actually video them while reading to show their progress. Along with that, asking them questions about plot, setting, characters, and outcome can be great for recording their understanding of the text read.

So, remember this feature of the ipad when you want to document students reading. It would also be wonderful for parent/teacher conferences as well in seeing the progress from the beginning of the year to the end showing how well they are reading.
